A fingerfloat is a rigid symmetrical steel frame structure consisting of two longitudinal and two transversal channel bars

Mooring fingerfloats can significantly increase the number of parking spaces at the dock and create convenience for mooring, parking, boarding and debarkation of passengers, loading and unloading of yachts or boats.

The length and width of the supporting frame of a fingerfloat depends on the length of an approaching yacht (boat) that is subject to mooring. The supporting frame is made by semi-automatic electric welding in a carbon dioxide medium. The root of the fingerfloat is reinforced by bars in the form of rectangular tube or channel bar, and is closed by aluminum-rifled sheet of marine aluminum alloy 6063-T6. The frame is made and reinforced by transverse and longitudinal bars of high-profile steel, which is used in the shipbuilding industry. Thanks to this design solution, uniform distribution of external loads across the entire fingerfloat is achieved. This also gives the fingerfloat certain resilience and allows the construction to attain the highest possible ratio of strength to weight.

– Плавучесть пальца обеспечивают поплавки – полиэтиленовые конусные короба, которые расположены и закреплены на нижней плоскости один или более ярусов. Количество поплавков и их расположение вдоль пальца зависят от длины пальца.

– Короба заполнены экструзионным (закрытоячеистым) пенополистиролом с высокими механическими характеристиками и устойчивостью к воздействию климатических факторов. Полиэтиленовые короба соединены между собой алюминиевыми швеллерами, что обеспечивает дополнительную жесткость конструкции.

– Для швартовки плавсредств предусмотрены кнехты, которые устанавливаются на специальных площадках. Кроме того, причальная стенка каждого пальца оснащена отбойными устройствами (фендерами), установленными по всему периметру. Фендера изготовлены из полиэтилена низкой плотности, с ультрафиолетовой защитой, для защиты борта судна при швартовке.

– Каждый палец имеет специальные скобы, которые используются при монтаже и транспортировке (перегрузке) конструкции.

Main Technical Characteristics of the Fingerfloat

All metallic parts and components of a fingerfloat have a special multilayer protective-decorative polymeric coating which provides highly effective protection from climatic and mechanical effects in marine climate. Anti-corrosion treatment of metal parts based on the use of technology hot-dip galvanized according to EN ISO1461.The hardware is made of stainless steel.

Fingerfloats are pivotally connected to the pontoon by means of hinges of special design, which provides freely mutual interaction of their movement in a vertical plane.

Fingerfloats have removable decking, which is made from plastic boards with anti-slid elements.

Plastic elements and components of fingerfloats do not emit toxic substances into the environment and do not cause harmful effects to the human body by direct contact. Polymeric materials are resistant to degradation in atmospheric conditions. Solid waste is disposed for recycling.
